Alok And Bastille ‘Run Into Trouble’ On Collaborative Single
The Brazilian dance music icon and the best-selling British act deliver slick, electro-pop grooves.
Brazilian dance music icon Alok and British band Bastille have joined forces for a new collaborative track, “Run Into Trouble.” The hypnotic song features the vocals of Bastille frontman Dan Smith, underscored by smooth synths and an infectious slap house bassline.
“I’ve been a fan of Bastille’s music since the very beginning and to be able to work with Dan and the boys on ‘Run Into Trouble’ was such a fun experience!” Alok said in a statement. “We wanted to create something that represented both of our styles but still leaning into each other’s sound and pushing the track a little deeper. Dan really set the vocals alight and we hope you all enjoy what we created!”
Bastille added, “We’re massive fans of crying-on-the-dancefloor sad bangers and had such a good time bringing this one to life with Alok. We love the euphoria that he’s brought to it and can’t wait to play this tune live over the summer.”
With over four billion streams, Alok’s impressive discography includes such hits as “Don’t Say Goodbye” and “Hear Me Now.” He has also grown his global fanbase with popular remixes of Dua Lipa’s “Physical” and Meduza’s “Piece of Your Heart.” Alok’s rising success earned him a nomination at the 2022 International Dance Music Awards, while he was ranked at No.4 on DJ Mag’s “Top 100” awards.
Bastille has found similar success on both sides of the Atlantic. Last month, they earned their third No.1 album in the UK with Give Me The Future. In the US, the cinematic LP peaked at No.13 on Billboard’s Top Alternative Albums chart. Bastille are set to tour the US and Europe in support of the album beginning in April.
