Eminem Releases Limited-Edition ‘Marshall Mathers’-Themed Carhartt Collaboration
The capsule collection benefits Detroit’s Downtown Boxing Gym, a free academic and athletic program.
Eminem’s Marshall Mathers Foundation is partnering with Carhartt for a limited-edition clothing line to support students, amid the pandemic. The capsule collection, which also references the rapper’s landmark album, The Marshall Mathers LP, supports the Downtown Boxing Gym, a free academic and athletic program on Detroit’s east side that’s working around the clock to prevent students from falling behind.

The collection includes two t-shirts and a hoodie, all of which all offer a nod to “Stan,” Eminem’s chart-topping global hit off The Marshall Mathers LP, which turns 20 this year. The song, which samples vocals from Dido’s “Thank You,” has long been ranked among Eminem’s best work, and is included on a variety of roundups, including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll, and Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Songs of All Time” list.
100% of the proceeds from the collection will support DBG’s tutoring, mentorship, enrichment programs, college and career prep, and social-emotional skills building, as well as basic needs, including transportation and meals.
“We’re facing a crisis like we’ve never seen and we’re doing everything we can to support our kids and help them make it through,” said Khali Sweeney, DBG’s founder and CEO. “To have Eminem and the Marshall Mathers Foundation step up during this time and help raise much-needed funds means the world to us. This is what we do in the D. We take care of each other. And we are truly grateful.”
Royce Da 5’9”, Director of Community Engagement and Social Justice Initiatives for The Marshall Mathers Foundation, added, “I’ve experienced firsthand the discipline, commitment, and focus that boxing training instills in young people. I’m passionate about the sport, and I’m passionate about the role that DBG plays in our community. We need to make sure the important work they do continues.”
Established in 2002, the Marshall Mathers Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to disadvantaged and at-risk youth in Detroit and its surrounding communities. More recently, the foundation’s mission has expanded to stand as an ally in the fight against social injustice and for racial equality nationwide.
