Billie Eilish announced a new surprise single will be dropping Thursday this week, called “Therefore I Am.”
The song will arrive on November 12 at 10 a.m. PT, and ahead of the single’s release, the singer-songwriter teased the new cover art that depicts a shattered Greek bust against a washed red background.
The track follows-up her previously released singles, “No Time To Die” from the upcoming James Bond film and “My Future,” which she dropped over the summer.

On Twitter, Eilish’s brother and main collaborator FINNEAS added: “You are not ready.”

2020 has been a more tame year for releases from the duo in comparison to the whirlwind of 2019. The year saw the release of Eilish’s debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? which garnered the hit songs “When The Party’s Over” and “Bad Guy,” both of which have surpassed one billion streams on Spotify.
At the 2020 Grammy Awards, Eilish snagged five wins including Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Vocal Album. Meanwhile, FINNEAS, who co-wrote and produced the album, was awarded a Grammy for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical.
Eilish and FINNEAS recently brought When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? to life during an exclusive livestream concert. The immersive performance saw Eilish floating through her discography from her earlier tracks like “Ocean Eyes” and her more recent releases such as “Everything I Wanted,” with proceeds from the event’s merchandise benefiting event crew members impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Eilish’s latest single follows the release of the official “No Time To Die” music video. The visual features the young singer crooning silky vocals into a mic as clips from the forthcoming Bond film are intertwined with the footage.
The singer will also be performing at iHeartRadio’s 2020 Jingle Ball on December 10 and was recently tapped to feature in Gucci and Gus Van Sant’s upcoming collaboration.
