BLACKPINK Announces New Single Featuring Selena Gomez

Good news for Blinks, the K-pop sensation BLACKPINK has announced their latest single will feature multi-platinum singer/songwriter Selena Gomez, dropping on August 28.

The new single will arrive as the follow-up to “How You Like That” – a trap-pop anthem that surpassed a staggering 100 million streams on Spotify in under a month.

While the name has not been revealed, the song will serve as the second single from BLACKPINK’s highly anticipated debut album, set for release via YG Entertainment/Interscope Records on October 2.

The K-pop idols are no stranger to high profile collabs with American artists, after teaming up with Lady Gaga on their hit single “Sour Candy,” off the Chromatica album. The track peaked at No.22 on the Billboard Hot 100. Following close behind it is, “How You Like That,” which debuted at No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early July, making BLACKPINK the K-pop act with the second-highest number of Hot 100 entries in chart history.

Meanwhile, the mind-blowing visual for “How You Like That” became the fastest video in YouTube history to cross 10 million likes and shattered the YouTube record for most views within the first 24 hours.

The band recently celebrated its fourth debut anniversary, sharing a special choreography video with fans. The group officially made their debut on August 8, 2016 with their EP, Square One, and they’ve gone on to become one of the most successful K-pop groups around the world.

The quartet also shared a cute group photo and wrote messages to each other and their fans Blinks.

Jisoo wrote, “Time’s gone by and it’s already BLACKPINK’s 4th anniversary. I always love and feel grateful for our BLINKs, who are always by our side. Also, I love you so much, my members whose existence alone makes me feel reassured. BLACKPINK 4ever BLINK.”

As for Gomez, the multitalented pop star and mogul has been keeping busy during quarantine, announcing a virtual premiere for her upcoming new movie, This Is The Year, on August 28 and preparing to officially launch her new fragrance, makeup, and beauty line called Rare Beauty on September 3.
