Jessie Ware has released “What’s Your Pleasure?” – the latest single from her critically acclaimed album of the same name—today via PMR Records/Friends Keep Secrets/ Interscope Records. The track arrives with its official video, which you can check out below.
Directed by Vicky Lawton, the “What’s Your Pleasure?” clip brings you to your feet, with its sexed-up stilettos and jaw-dropping party attire which stars Jessie Ware herself, who busts a move alongside a string of dancers.
“What’s Your Pleasure?” echoes Disco divas of the past and sees Jessie Ware at her most flirtatious while carrying the carnal energy of a first encounter on a nightclub dancefloor. It’s a recipe for club glory with its sleek disco influence and the kind of free-roaming rubbery bass lines that would have you dancing relentlessly. It’s the perfect prescription for a world without dance floors.
Jessie Ware’s latest album What’s Your Pleasure? was co-written by Ware and various collaborators including Kindness, Danny Parker, Shungudzo Kuyimba Clarence Coffee Jr., producers and DJs Benji B, Midland, Morgan Geist (Storm Queen), Matthew Tavares, Metronomy’s Joseph Mount and James Ford from what has become the album’s creative centre. The album debuted at No. 3 in the UK last month, her highest-charting album to date.
Since her 2012 debut, the BRIT and Mercury Prize-nominated artist has charmed fans around the globe with her own brand of sultry R&B pop, fusing classic UK house and dance music with sophisticated vocals.
What’s Your Pleasure? is the follow-up to the Ware’s 2017 album Glasshouse. Speaking about the making of the album recently, the singer said: “It feels so amazing to be back making music, so much has happened recently. Some crazy exciting things but I feel so happy to be back to my first love. Music was the first scene that truly embraced me!”
In support of What’s Your Pleasure?, Jessie Ware recently announced details of a UK tour for April 2021, and she has now added a second date at London’s Brixton Academy on April 25.
