Hear Juice WRLD’s New Posthumous Single, ‘Life’s A Mess’ Ft. Halsey
The song comes ahead of the late rapper’s first posthumous album, ‘Legends Never Die,’ out July 10.
Today, the estate of Juice WRLD not only released a soaring new single – “Life’s A Mess” featuring Halsey – but also confirmed that the late artist’s first posthumous album, Legends Never Die, will be available this Friday, July 10 via Grade A/Interscope.
Produced by Rex Kudo and Charlie Handsome, “Life’s A Mess” was released along with an accompanying visual, directed by Chad Ross, which follows the renowned performance painter David Garibaldi as he creates a portrait of the rapper. The song reminds listeners that, despite heartbreaks, the right romantic partner is out there.
“Everybody has their someone, just gotta look and see/I’m screaming out, ‘Lord, help me, I’ve been lonely’/That’s when you accept me/Then you set me free,” sings the late artist, as he tees up the chorus with Halsey: “Uh, sometimes life’s a mess/I get high when I’m upset/I remember when me and love didn’t click/Searching for somethin’ real, then I found it.”
“Life’s A Mess” follows “Tell Me U Luv Me,” featuring Trippie Redd, as well as the artist’s first posthumous single, “Righteous,” which debuted in April. All three songs will appear on Legends Never Die.
In addition to the album, Juice WRLD’s estate also announced a new merchandise collaboration with e-sports organization, FaZe Clan, which commemorates the artist’s love of gaming. The capsule collection, designed around Legends Never Die, was, according to a press release, “Born out of friendship between Juice WRLD and FaZe Clan” and “pays tribute to the significant impact he left on the gaming community and the special bond he had with FaZe.” The collection includes a variety of graphic t-shirts, a hoodie, and a paintball jersey with matching mesh shorts.
Recently, Juice WRLD’s mother, Carmela Wallace, announced the establishment of the Live Free 999 Fund, in memory of her son, who died in December at the age of 21. The fund, which will receive additional support via Grade A and Interscope Records, aims to support young people in their battles with addiction, anxiety, and depression.
