Island Records Auction Includes Rare Items From Amy Winehouse, U2, Bon Jovi And More
Proceeds from the One Love Covid-19 Relief Auction will be donated to NHS Charities Together and Feeding America.
Island Records have announced their ambitious charity initiative, One Love COVID-19 Relief Auction, that will feature one-of-a-kind items donated by veteran and new artists on the label to raise funds for relief efforts.
The event will be hosted by Emmy, Tony and Grammy-award-winning actor, singer, director, composer and playwright Billy Porter and will be broadcast live on 21 May at 1:00 pm EST/6:00 pm BST via Omega Auctions and Island’s Youtube Channel.
The items listed for the auction come from some of the biggest artists on Island as well as artist’s estates.

There’s a pair of Jonathan Kelsey stilettos from Amy Winehouse’s personal collection donated by the Amy Winehouse foundation; a rare Mr Brainwash/Bob Marley print signed by Ziggy Marley; a guitar signed by Shawn Mendes, a Dummy-era Portishead “care package” with a Technics deck and Beth Gibbon’s handwritten and signed lyrics and two Nick Drake care packages that include signed books and handwritten cards from Drake’s sister Gabrielle.
Bon Jovi and Annie Lennox are also selling handwritten lyric sheets including those for ‘Living On A Prayer’, ‘Wanted Dead Or Alive’ and ‘Sweet Dreams’, respectively.
Along with a number of rare items, the auction also includes more experiential offers, from a virtual one-on-one banjo lesson with Winston Marshall of Mumford & Sons; two tickets to see Grace Jones headline Meltdown Festival in 2021, a three-night stay for two guests at Studio Cottage at the Strawberry Hill Hotel in Jamaica, a VIP personal tour of Abbey Road Studios and much more.
U2 fans will also be pleased to see a special version of the Joshua Tree Box Set signed by the band along with handwritten lyrics for ‘I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For’.
In addition to the auction items, there is also One Love limited-edition merch, including t-shirts and guitar picks.
Proceeds from the One Love Covid-19 Relief Auction will be donated to NHS Charities Together and Feeding America, which provides food and other aid for those in financial need due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
To bid on the lots, participants must register in advance with Island’s partner Omega Auctions. All of the items are currently able to view via an online catalogue.
