Kendrick Lamar Announced As 2020 Glastonbury Headliner
“As things stand we are still working hard to deliver our 50th anniversary Festival in June and we are very proud of the bill that we have put together over the last year or so.”
Glastonbury 2020 organisers have shared their next wave of performers including Lana Del Rey, HAIM, Dizzee Rascal, Pet Shop Boys and Thom Yorke and the final headliner, Kendrick Lamar.
Lamar will be the Friday night headliner, when the festival will take place 24-28 June at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset. Other acts slated to play festival include FKA twigs, Burna Boy, Robyn, Ed O’Brien (as EOB), Camila Cabello and Caribou, among others.
These acts will join the previously announced headliners, Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney and Diana Ross. This will mark Ross’s Glastonbury debut, who scheduled to play the Legends slot, which previously played host to the likes of Kylie Minogue, Dolly Parton and Lionel Richie. This will also be her first show in the UK since 2008.
90s R&B icons TLC will also make their Glastonbury debut, while Noel Gallagher‘s High Flying Birds will play before Paul McCartney’s Saturday night slot.

The latest festival news comes amid a flurry of concert cancellations around the world in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
“No one has a crystal ball to see exactly where we will all be 15 weeks from now, but we are keeping our fingers firmly crossed that it will be here at Worthy Farm for the greatest show on Earth,” reads a note from festival organiser Emily Eavis.
“As things stand we are still working hard to deliver our 50th anniversary Festival in June and we are very proud of the bill that we have put together over the last year or so,” she continued.
Adrian Coombs, Glastonbury’s head of event operations, told Somerset Live:“Glastonbury Festival thoroughly plans each year’s event, and puts in place all necessary measures to protect the public and maximise safety. We work closely with all of the relevant agencies, including Public Health England and the NHS, and always review our plans as any circumstances change.
“With this in mind and with our 2020 Festival still 16 weeks away, we continue to plan and prepare for the event, whilst at the same time closely monitoring developments with the coronavirus situation.”
