Watch The Struts Perform ‘Fire (Part 1)’ Live At London’s 02 Forum
‘Fire (Part 1)’ also features on the band’s acclaimed ‘Young & Dangerous’ album, released through Polydor/Interscope Records.
Fast-rising rockers The Struts have shared a new video of the band performing ‘Fire (Part 1)’ from a sold-out show at London’s 02 Forum in Kentish Town during their recent UK and European tour. You can check the clip out below.
The Queen-esque epic, ‘Fire (Part 1)’ is one of the key tracks from the band’s much-lauded YOUNG&DANGEROUS album. The action-packed 02 Forum clip of the song is a one-take live video filmed using aerial cameras.
The Struts have previously shared stages with luminaries such as The Who, Guns N’ Roses and Foo Fighters and they are rightly proud of their live show.
“We’ve always felt really proud of our live show,” frontman Luke Spiller told uDiscover Music in 2018. “But first and foremost, we want people who come and pay good money to see a show that leaves them satisfied. And most importantly, we want them to come back again. We’re definitely on a mission to bring the glitz and glamour back into rock’n’roll, but looking fantastic is only part of it – the music has to be the strongest element of this band.”
The much-anticipated follow-up to 2016’s Everybody Wants, YOUNG&DANGEROUS also includes their recent releases ‘Bulletproof Baby’ and ‘Primadonna Like Me’, in addition to their Kesha collaboration ‘Body Talks’. The album was released on 26 October 2018 and has been widely acclaimed, with Drowned in Sound declaring that “their sound [is] bursting with cocksure Stones grooves, Queen’s theatrical panache and T. Rex’s irreverent-but-ensnaring lyrical riddles.”
Formed in Derby, England, in 2012, The Struts almost instantly drew a major following with their outrageous live show, and later made their debut with Have You Heard (a 2015 EP whose lead single ‘Could Have Been Me’ hit No.1 on Spotify’s viral chart). Before they’d even put out their first album, the band opened for The Rolling Stones before a crowd of 80,000 in Paris and toured the U.S. on a string of sold-out shows.
