Drake Drops Visual For His New Single ‘Money In The Grave’

The dramatic visual begins with Drake at a construction site, with a giant excavator looming overhead and he raps “In the next life, I’m tryna stay paid/When I die, put my money in the grave”.
Directed by OVO crew member Theo Skudra, who previously helmed visuals for ‘Nonstop’ and The Game’s ‘100’ music video featuring Drake, the video features the same fly-on-the-wall shooting style. From a private plane to performing in front of thousands of people, we get to see all aspects of Drake’s superstar lifestyle.
The Canadian MC first released ‘Money in the Grave’ back in June after his team the Toronto Raptors won the 2019 NBA Finals. It arrived alongside with the single ‘Omertà’, in a release called The Best in the World Pack.
Along with the guest feature from Rick Ross, ‘Money in the Grave’ also features newcomer Lil CC, who provided the beat. The 21-year-old producer is also a successful model named Cydney Christine and ‘Money in the Grave’ was her first released single. Not bad for your first time out of the gate. She even gets a personal shout out as Drake raps “Lil CC let it slap with the bass,” putting the producer’s name on the map.
Drake also recently appeared on a very important playlist, as former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama shared their summer playlist which featured Drake at the No. 1 spot on the Rihanna-assisted ‘Too Good’.

This summer also saw the release of Care Package, a compilation that featured Drake songs from 2010 to 2016 that were previously unavailable for retail and streaming. Upon its release on 2 August, Care Package debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
As for Ross, the rapper released his sequel to Port of Miami earlier this month titled Port Of Miami 2, which features Drake on the single, ‘Gold Roses’. The album also features guest appearances from John Legend, Lil Wayne, Jeezy, Meek Mill and Wale.
