As uDiscover Music previously reported, Grande previously announced details about the Thank U, Next album, revealing that the 12-track record will also feature the songs ‘Imagine’ and ‘7 Rings’. The artist shared the tracklist in an Instagram post, which also confirmed that the record’s final track is called ‘Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored’.
The fast-rising star only released her fourth studio album Sweetener back in August, but has since outlined her plans to quickly release another record – especially after the success of the upcoming album’s title track, which came out back in November. According to the Official Singles Chart, as well as extending her time at Number 1 to five weeks, Grande also set a new streaming record after earning 14.9 million streams of ‘Thank U, Next’ in one week alone.
Of those streams, 7.9 million came from Grande’s Mean Girls inspired music video, which features cameos from Jonathan Bennett, Troye Sivan and Colleen Ballinger.
The Thank U, Next news also confirms that Grande’s new album will be released a full two months before she headlines this year’s Coachella festival. She would be playing the festival on a bill also including Childish Gambino and Tame Impala. All three acts will take top billing at the iconic California festival, which runs over the weekends of 12-14 and 19-21 April.
Thank U, Next is out on 8 February and can be bought here.
