End Of The Allmans?
It looks like the end of the line for the Allman Brothers Band. The current line-up of the celebrated southern rock institution have announced four rescheduled US shows for October that were postponed from March, after which they will play what the band’s website describes without fanfare as their “final shows.”
45 years after they were formed, the ABB will play their last concerts at the Beacon Theatre in New York on October 27 and 28. They’ve played the venue, one with which they’ve been closely associated over the years, a total of 232 times.
The ABB suffered the departure of acclaimed guitarists Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks earlier this year, at which point Gregg Allman said they would not be splitting. But it appears that the band have had a change of heart and that ‘Jessica’ will have her last public outing in a few months’ time.
