Stones Unleash ‘Sticky Fingers Live’
The Rolling Stones today (June 30) release their recent, hugely acclaimed live performance of the complete ‘Sticky Fingers’ album. ‘Sticky Fingers Live’ is now available on Apple Music for a limited period, and to download on iTunes.
The ten-track set was recorded at the band’s “secret” show at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, in front of a star-studded audience of some 1,200 on May 20. The guest list featured Jack Nicholson, Bruce Willis, Harry Styles, Kesha, Andy Garcia, Dave Stewart, Joe Pesci, Ben Harper, Leonard Cohen, Patricia Arquette, Eric Idle, Steven Van Zandt, Don Was, Brian Grazer and Georgia May Jagger.
The show, which marked the launch of the Stones’ Zip Code tour, was also the first time they had ever performed ‘Sticky Fingers’ or indeed any album in their esteemed catalogue, in its entirety.
The performance, which has already gone down as one of the hottest tickets of the year, featured the Stones’ regular band, with Darryl Jones on bass, Chuck Leavell on keyboards and vocalists Lisa Fischer and Bernard Fowler. ‘Sticky Fingers Live’ has been mixed by the celebrated producer and engineer Bob Clearmountain.
